The instructor

A practitioner at the table.

Praveen VR is a principal engineer, founder, and active builder. He spent 15+ years across Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent R&D, Dell Technologies, Moonhive, and Neonbee AI. He teaches the decisions he has had to defend.

“Senior developers do not get stuck because of syntax. They get stuck because no one teaches them how to make a high-stakes architecture decision — and stand behind it.”

A career in systems

The work behind the teaching.

Every pattern in the curriculum comes from direct engineering experience at global scale — carrier-grade networks, Fortune 50 platforms, and companies he founded.

2026 – present

Dubai / Bangalore

Co-Founder & CEO

Neonbee AI

Chapter 1

Software that runs an entire business, with autonomous workflows built into daily operations.

  • Architected a unified operations platform with 20+ business modules in roughly six months.
  • Module Federation micro-frontends with dynamic remote loading and shared authentication.
  • Live in operating businesses, including Cacoon Luxury Furniture, from factory to e-commerce.
  • Automates 60–80% of routine cross-department workflows with human approval gates.

Founder & CEO

Moonhive

Chapter 2

High-throughput software, telemetry, and platform architectures for businesses across UAE, GCC, Europe, and India.

  • Delivered 100+ production products and client systems across the UAE, GCC, Europe, and India.
  • Architected Thingwire: real-time telemetry from 100,000 live IoT devices.
  • Architected SalesX: sub-second conversational voice AI for sales practice and coaching.
  • Helped early-stage founders deploy private cloud infrastructure without runaway SaaS spend.

Bangalore

Principal Software Engineer

Dell Technologies

Chapter 3

Enterprise-scale platform engineering, from portal consolidation to mission-critical telemetry.

  • Promoted across three tiers: Advisor to Senior Software Engineer to Principal Software Engineer.
  • Architected MyService 360, enterprise portal consolidation, and services visualisation pipelines.
  • Engineered Clear Price Health Check systems handling mission-critical enterprise telemetry.
  • Mentored engineers and reviewed system designs across cross-functional squads.

2015 – 2017

Bangalore

Senior Software Engineer

Nokia & Alcatel-Lucent R&D

Chapter 4

Carrier-grade network management systems, where reliability and failure modes were not abstract.

  • Engineered FNMS, TaskCenter, UTC, and PCC network management systems.
  • Hardened low-latency event processing and high-availability failover architectures.
  • Built a foundation in network protocols, data serialisation, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.

Principles

How the trade-offs get made.

Architecture is not a catalogue of patterns. It is a series of explicit choices, made under constraints, that someone has to defend.

Principle 1

Build vs. buy

Buy the commodities that do not differentiate the product. Build the core platform, data isolation, and intelligence that create lasting value.

Principle 2

Private cloud vs. managed sprawl

Avoid unmanaged cloud sprawl that quietly balloons the bill. Choose the simplest infrastructure the system can actually run well on.

Principle 3

One platform vs. disconnected tools

SaaS sprawl fragments customer data across too many tools. Learn to design a unified, multi-tenant system with clear module ownership.

Principle 4

Guardrails vs. chat toys

Do not let a model write directly to production tables. Use explicit state machines: draft, validate, human review, execute, audit.

The standard

“The goal is not to sound smart in the room. It is to make a decision that still holds six months later.”

That is what participants practise: making the decision, explaining the trade-off, and living with the consequence. The courses are small because that work needs attention, not a broadcast.
